If a seam is leaking, I think the best thing to do is pull the tank and send it to John Wright, Jr., for a rebuild. He'll return it to you like new and ready for the next 60 years using only approved materials and methods. Or, you could research the methods and have someone locally do the work. I've seen John's shop and work and would, myself, send it to him if his workload allows him to add you to the flow. Contact him and see if he can do it.
