I guess my plane runs on the lean side because, especially in cool weather, I have to taxi with the carburetor heat on or the engine will sometimes quit. I guess it runs a little richer with the carb heat on. Takeoff checklist (mine) is Transponder-ALT, Carb heat-off then boogedy, boogedy, boogedy. Bart
