Jim, I have had the Pilot III in my coupe for 9 years and have had the voltage display set up the whole time. So I know it can do it, but I can't recall at this moment how I set it up. Next time I'm at the hanger I'll take a look. Don't give up. Dan N93805

Just followed Hartmuts instructions, and now I have Voltage on my Garmin 296. Darn that is swell, and saves me a voltmeter as well. Thanks Hartmut - for pointing that out AND telling us how to do it. I am showing 7.6 volts in the handheld mode. Now I am going to set the alarm to tell me when flying if it falls below 12.5 I think. --- In ercoupe-tech@ yahoogroups. com, Hartmut Beil <hb...@...> wrote: > > > > On popular request, here is how it is done on a Garmin 196 > > > > First navigate to the display you want the voltage field be shown. > > I am using my favorite display for VFR cross country, that is the compass > rose, essential a DG , but better. > > > > There I hit the menu button and choose "change Data fields" > > > Then I hilite the field that I want to replace.
