Jim,

I have had the Pilot III in my coupe for 9 years and have had the voltage
display set up the whole time.  So I know it can do it, but I can't recall at
this moment how I set it up.  Next time I'm at the hanger I'll take a look.

Don't give up.

I have a Garmin Pilot III and I guess it doesn't have that ability. Went thri
the owners manual and also the unit at the same time with no luck.

I DID IT!!!I DID IT!!! Just followed Hartmuts instructions, and now I have
Voltage on my Garmin 296. Darn that is swell, and saves me a voltmeter as well.
Thanks Hartmut - for pointing that out AND telling us how to do it. I am
showing 7.6 volts in the handheld mode. Now I am going to set the alarm to tell
me when flying if it falls below 12.5 I think.
