Periodically, I have difficulty turning that valve on or off. Usually it turns free and easy but ocassionally it is difficult to rotate with you fingers. If it is difficult to rotate, I usually use a small vise grip plier to grab the "ear" of the valve mechanism and the extra leverage rotates the valve. I'm not forcing the valve but a little bit of extra leverage moves the valve and then it rotates easily for a couple of months after that. I think my Ercoupe, like all the others, is possesed by something. Bart
