Variations abound. In earlier research, I had (I thought) discovered that the E elevator ADDS about 10 mph to the landing speed! In the metal vs cloth wing cover, it had seemed that the added weight when you subtracted the cloth, was only about 6-8 lbs. Probably depends on what thickness of aluminum was used, I see all are not the same there. Now I don't know just what I DO know! Anybody care to share the facts on their plane before and after?
