Don, The D elevator setting would add landing speed because the up travel is less then the C but the E elevator will then lower the speed down to C or maybe even less speed.
The difference in weight on the wings would depend on the thickness of the metal and the process used on the fabric covers. Sorry that I addressed this to you.
