It could be that he just doen't know what he has but thinks he does. The ad says it is a C and a C/D and says it is not LSA and is 1400 gross. The FAA web site says it is a C. Could be he is going on uncorrect weight and ballance sheets that showed 1400lbs. I don't know how many people I have come across that think an 85 HP engine and/or metal wings makes them not LSA.
