I am grateful for the products and support you provide at no charge as well.
Maybe there is something developing here that should be investigated. If there are people that need support for the products (such as the SDK) that are free, maybe you should offer support contracts for items like that. Or is that already available? So far, I have only needed support with the actual ER Mapper software. My thought is that if people really want support, these people will and should compensate Earth Resource Mapping for their time. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Sunday, November 17, 2002 2:15 PM Subject: ERMAPPER-L Daily Digest ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From: "Geoff Roberts" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: RE: What happen to support ? I would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to you for making so much of your technology freely available. Those of us who are not GIS professionals have benefited greatly from this. > This is not to say we don't pay attention to user feedback. Well, since you mention feedback: One detail that is frustrating is that though I can open a 500mb plus .ecw image in Photoshop, I can't save it if I make changes.. Any possibility this restriction will get removed or at least adjusted upwards somewhat? I realise that you are primarily concerned with the commercial product, ERMapper, unfortunately I am not a cartographer and I have significant difficulty, despite the best intentions and a desire to learn, understanding a lot of the matters discussed here. So I doubt if I could use it effectively even if I bought it.
