Actually the low tech approach works great as a first cut.  Our
payload integration test kit for PROTO consists of a lazy susan.
Instructions: put payload on lazy susan.  Spin lazy susan rapidly.  If
payload falls off, payload has failed integration test.  Go back and
make sure your CG is on our CL.

We'll even sell you the lazy susan.  Why shouldn't integration be a
profit center?  :-)
