In treating his sparger with the nitric acid, Pierce "dislodged all
manner of crud". He needs some more (HNO3, not crud). Chris will pick
this up at San Jose Scientific ASAP and deliver it to CDI.

The acid has been delivered to the ranch and stored per county hazmat instructions. I spent $10 acquiring the three 5-gal plastic buckets for this. The sparger was bead blasted last week in Livermore, at a cost of $75, and returned to the Ranch, where it is pickling in a somewhat stronger solution of nitric. I would like to be re-imbursed for at least the bead blasting, and I will be bringing receipts to the meeting.
On that trip, Kevin showed me a sketch he made from an old patent on a continuous fractional freeze process. Very slick process; I hope he brings the sketch and/or the patent to the next meeting.

We are consuming mass quantities of deionized water, and it is
getting too expensive to buy it from stores. We should either find a
cheaper source or acquire our own deionizer unit. This will be looked into.

At the meeting, both Rick and Sean offered us the use of their home reverse osmosis units. Rick told me, in private email, that he will be acquiring some appropriate containers, filling them, and bringing them to the next meeting. He should be reimbursed for the purchase out of either the sparger or the general budgets.
