The motors could not spin up unless there was a ~2" arc through the air
between the bus leads and the motor leads. I disconnected the motors,
the computer and IMU are on a different circuit.

A few thousand RPM. BTW, you'd feel the blade hit, but would stop the
blade and motor without bruises, cuts, or worse. *If* you stuck just
your pinky finger in, in just the right way, the blades might dislocate
a joint.
