i for 1 have been on etree for a couple of years, and the last thing i want
is another email with rules sent to me. the thing everyone needs to realize
is that lots and lots of us etree traders also trade with people outside
this group (taper-unfriendly is a perfect example) who don't know, and
probably could care less, about the etree rules and never will. i've traded
for many shows where i did not know the lineage. now when i trade for etree
friendly bands i expect the source data and wont trade without it. but for
bands that are impossible to find (like bauhaus/love and rockets -- who i
know are taper friendly as they posted so on their site) i will take any
show without source copy.

so it once again comes down to: don't trade for a show without source info
if you care that much

Subject: Re: [etrade] Concern over lineage

Maybe somebody with etree can write up some kind of official text
file (any volunteers?) that would let everybody know what etree is
all about and maybe even breakdown what lineage is all about and why
it is important to make sure that this info is kept with the show and
never changed. Then, like on the pcp list, this can be sent to the
etrade list once a week or so to let new people to etree know whats
up.
