+ 2) Get a Plextor CDROM for great DAE with EAC. Agreed.
+ 3) Get a Plextor CDR, as you've said. It really doesn't + matter what model..get a fast one though =) I'm sure that Plex burners are great, but I don't think they are "the standard" for burners the way they are "the standard" for DAE. They earned their reputation for DAE, not for burning. I'm on my third generation of Yamaha burner right now, and can't say a bad word about them. Like I said, I'm sure a Plextor burner will serve anyone well, but I don't think that you need to reflexively think burner = Plextor.
