He's an idiot. The rating of a power supply is the maximum power it's happy supplying; it will provide less if the devices don't draw it. (Consider it like a 15-amp fuse. It doesn't blow a 100-watt bulb if that's the only thing on the circuit, does it?) > He sold me on a new 200 watt.
