The client that pointed this problem out to me has 3 domains.  Would they be listed as:
whitelist_from *@domain-1.com *@domain-2.com *@domain-3.com
or
whitelist_from *@domain-1.com
whitelist_from *@domain-2.com
whitelist_from *@domain-3.com
