Sounds more likely to be the transformer. Power plug goes
directly into the monitor I assume. You also have a larger
mounting plate inside there because of the size of the monitor
so that will increase weight too.
Just curious, why goes with one large display as opposed to two
smaller ones? You'll get more real estate with two.
