I dont think i have those, my board asus p4r800-v has sis 180
controller.
I'll have to look over thier website... im just not feeling up to it
right now... tired of crap, and I'll deal with it later :(
I should also do some testing to figure out if its
cable/controller/drive before I check out maxtors site though...

Thanks for all the good info on ata disk drives... its sadly
complicated... moreso if you throw in scsi...

I try not to listen to the sales people, cause its difficult to force
myself to just shut the hell up, instead of blurting out something milk
chan would say.

yeah, i only ask for help when i cant find something i specificly went
there for! sometimes you can get a pretty decent deal on things there,
but grrr... they gotta lotta crap too. I figured the hard drives were
the least of my problems (and it may even turn out its not the
drives...)

rebates suck too... either you forget to send them in on time, or you
forget when you rebate was supposed to come in, and its expired or
lost...

i'll just shut up now...
