Thanks for trying to help but Format ->
Auto Format and uncheck the "while typing" box,
doesn't seem to work.
There is a "Formatting" Menu with Automatic as a selection, with all the
header and such listed... but I am afraid to try to delete these.
I just want ot switch Outlining of.
Thanks again

This may or may not do what you are after, but if you go to Format ->
Auto Format and uncheck the "while typing" box, that should make it
stop doing that sort of thing...

Open Office Writer - how do I turn OFF Outlining. I go to preferences
"writer" and there seems to be no way.
I am being made mad by trying to change numbered and lettered indents
with it trying to "help" and please help me.
Make it stop.
