Well I found the wire with a fuse to the emeter had it's fuse blown so
something was disconnected from the emeter. I replaced the fuse and now
everything works. I think it is supposed to be the voltage sensor lead so I
don't know why it still read voltage and not amperage so I will have to find
the book and make sure I have the emeter set up correctly but all seems to
be working now and was for 5k before that storm. (it was plugged in to 240
at the time)..
