I confused this symptom in my Lectra with a bad controller.  I upgraded my
controller needlessly.  Listen for that microswitch click everytime you let
off the go pedal.  You shouldn't have to slap it back for it to work.  If
you don't have enough play in your cable it could be on the edge and
overnight contract a bit.  When it won't start you let the pedal loose and
that is just enough to stretch the cable and the switch closes and the next
time you push you go.  Just loosen your cable a bit.  Lawrence Rhodes....The
fulcrum point might matter... lubricate the cable.....sticky cable might not
allow the cable to retract all the way.....that will keep the switch from
closing all the way.....
