Not really, It's a simple configuration with the swingarm bolted to a 
bracket that is bolted to the motor.  About the only way I can see to 
loosen the belt would be to have the face of the swingarm mount milled down 
a bit - which (of course) would slightly weaken the swingarm mount.

Yup, the rear sprocket in a Sparrow is as large as the tire rim.

"Rated" may be the key word here.  The Sparrow belt is only 36mm 
wide.  With the motor's starting torque, moving a 1500lb car uphill from a 
dead stop, might exceed the belts rating.

Already experienced that when a little mud dried in a couple teeth of the 
small sprocket.
