John, I know you had a ComutaVan (so did I). Do you think it would have
been acceptable for your commute (ignoring the 3-wheel aspect for the
ferry)? It would do 55 mph, though accelleration was leisurely. But it
easily had enough range.

If so, then you may want to set up your Sparrow for range instead of
speed and accelleration. Turn down the current limit on your controller
as far as it will go. You accellerate slower, but it doesn't change top
speed. But range benefits by drawing lower battery currents.

You can usually drive slightly slower than existing traffic without any
problems. If you can also accellerate slower (behind slow trucks etc.)
you can extend your range without any other big changes.
