Pat, yes, the 2013 doesn't quite push you back in the seat as much as the 12.  
The effect may be purely psychological, but the 13 also doesn't feel as if it 
runs out of steam at highway speed to the degree that the 12 did.  It could 
well be the flatter torque curve of the 13 making it feel that way.  I can 
enjoy the torque in the 13 more though as it doesn't torpedo the range like a 
lead foot would in the 12.  I've been working on an blog post about the time 
I've spent in an 11, 12 and 13 LEAF, hopefully I'll finish it this week
