START OVER.  No offense to anybody using those or similar components, but
they are junk.

If you want a quality EV, then you have to start with lithium and brushless
motor.  I haven't heard a single bad thing about HPEVS systems.  If they
want commuter type power I would start there.  EVwest has a new Bug kit
that should be killer since they only do high quality.  I would contact
Michael or Matt at EVwest.

If they get the itch for some serious EV power (100kw, 200kw, 300kw, etc..)
then give me a call.
