I see that Russ is now offering only one model.  Apparently he no longer 
builds the one you have, so I assume you got it used.

IIRC, Mark Hanson's microwave oven transformer charger does dv/dt.  If 
you're savvy with circuits, you might be able to adapt something from his 
charge controller.  Mark released it to the EVDL library a few years ago :

For a dead-simple design, try borrowing the old Comuta-car charger design, 
which is essentially just a reference design from an engineering handbook :

It's a cycle-dropping controller (voltage limiting), not the dv/dt you want, 
but I guess it's better than nothing.
