Statements like this aren't very helpful Lee: /"So far, none of the lithiums I've tested except A123 cells have met their specs. In particular, most lithiums are shot in 3-5 years. "/
What brand cells have you tested, and how large a sample size of each? Were they all new cells purchased from the manufacturer by you? What chemistries were tested, and the sample size of each? Was there significant variation in lifetime between the different chemistries? What were the cycling conditions? How did you arrive at the conclusion that "most lithiums are shot in 3-5 years"? Did you survey all the ev owners on the evalbum that have had lithium cells for more than 5 years? Is it based on long term (5 year) cycling tests you did of some cells? Is it anecdotal info from a few people? If the latter, how were those packs used? Without answers to such questions it is impossible to know how useful the statements are. -- View this message in context: http://electric-vehicle-discussion-list.413529.n4.nabble.com/Range-tp4665484p4665634.html Sent from the Electric Vehicle Discussion List mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE: http://www.evdl.org/help/index.html#usub http://lists.evdl.org/listinfo.cgi/ev-evdl.org For EV drag racing discussion, please use NEDRA (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NEDRA)
