Hi Steve, I have an Ericson 27 with an electric inboard. It's been installed since spring of 2008 and works great for my use, day sailing and weekend trips. The unit I installed (SolidNav) is no longer in production but there are a few other manufacturers. I would check this company out http://www.electricyacht.com/ they have a large range of options to choose from and are very helpful.
