You (we) could hope that an aftermarket supplier grabs the opportunity, supplying drop-in, long-life LiFePO4 batteries for the "orphans" whose batteries have been whisked away by Renault. I'm thinking of the cut-price generic Chinese-made aftermarket batteries for laptops and netbooks, the ones offered by the thousands on Amazon and Ebay.
