It seems that if you continue to promote this type of closed protectionist thinking, that it could work its way into other markets, which could effectively end the outlet mall concept and the robust direct market sector. But heck who needs a robust economy these days? Ronald Reagan told us back in 1984 that in order to survive as a nation, we need to embrace the future and become the world's service industry, as we could no longer compete in the manufacturing arena! It looks to as if our politicians now want us to stop competing in the sales arena as well (might as well leave such silly lowly ideals to members of the Trans-Pacific Partnership!). Our country can survive on $15 /hour service jobs! (Rant off!)
