A well-known marketing trick is to brag about things that are otherwise so obvious that people don't realize they already knew it. Just look at all the products that loudly proclaim they don't have salt, or sugar, or cholesterol, or gluten, or whatever.

Charging has *always* been free, since the very dawn of EVs a hundred years ago!
