The noise in the BMS wires can be mitigated by twisting the several
insulated conductors about six to 12 twists per foot, this will cancel most
noise induced, the other pairs of wires, traction cables and charging
cables, should be twisted also, but fewer twists per foot as they are less
flexible. so the three twisted sets of cables can be put in the same orange
colored conduit (Orange to alert anyone of the presence of high voltage
within the conduit.) Only the BMS is sensitive to the noise so if your BMS
system operates erratically simply run it in a separate conduit as far from
the traction cables and charging cable as possible but not in the roof, and
door surrounds which are often cut by rescue workers extracting victims of
auto collisions. All conduits should be placed under the floor between any
frame rails for protection from pavement and railroad tracks at grade level
crossings.
