The best installation and most noise free has three conduits, the traction
wires both + & - twisted together in one orange conduit. The charging wires
twisted together in a second. And the twisted BMS wires in EMT( metal
conduit) to suppress any electrically induced noise, this saves a few
dollars in place of the cost of double shielded wiring. It also allows
smaller diameter conduits, I save cash by using the original exhaust pipe
with the muffler and cat-converter removed and painted orange for the
traction cables. It hugs the bottom of the vehicle by being pre-bent
perfectly. I separate the conduits as much as possible maintaining the most
distance one can from the traction wiring and all the other. Remember when
selecting conduit that about 25% of the inside should be airspace, and take
care with any ends to "De-Burr" well so the insulation is not damaged from
rubbing when driving. drilling a small (1/8 inch) hole or two to let water
out is a good idea too, in any low spots.
