Good points, but at what cost? Are we going to replace a $50 wire with a $2,000 wireless? Set of modules? Why not replace the 20 ft (6meter) cord set with one with the J1772 Level "2" or the European connector, on both ends, You just carry it with you. Usually the wires are cut, and stolen, when not being used, to sell the copper wire. Or use copper plated aluminum wire as it is not worth nearly so much for metal scrap... each strand of the aluminum is coated with copper, they are nearly useless for recycling and that means they won't be stolen, but they work for electrical cords.
