Hello EVDL,

After following the thread on Leaf batteries and E-bay sales I had a few
thoughts:

The seller 1eyedcruiser has 99.1% positive feedback, with clear pictures and
descriptions of what is for sale. Lithium batteries, electric motors,
controllers, adapter plates, contactors, disconnects, and heat sensors and
heater controllers. Some of the items are costly, but the seller has a history
of sales and a track record. If I were in a position to buy a battery pack for
a motorcycle project I am currently collecting parts for, I would be very
interested in one of the smaller packs from this seller. I have no financial
interest and do not know the seller. A person contemplating a large purchase
could start with the purchase of one lithium cell, about $180 with shipping.
Then move on to larger purchases where the per cell price drops, once the
initial cell and quality are known.

I think I am a pretty good E-bay user, but finding Leaf batteries escapes me. I
can easily find batteries for a leaf blower, 12 volt accessory batteries for a
Nissan Leaf car, Leaf battery chargers, etc. etc. etc.... With the leaf name
and division between E-bay and E-bay motors I have had trouble. I have added
1eyedcruiser to my list of sale items that I watch and eventually I will learn
the terms to search for to find new, surplus, or used Lithium batteries at an
affordable cost.

I have sold a kit using surplus items before on E-bay and have been asked for a
list of parts and suppliers so the person could build their own, several times.
I have thought about selling the person just the most critical parts that I
fabricate and let them buy the surplus items directly, but I am reluctant to do
so because someone could just copy the parts I fabricate and put me out of
business. There needs to be a profit for sellers on E-bay to keep the items
available in spite of E-bay charges, Paypal charges, shipping costs, breakage,
warranty, improper use, etc..... If we all had the computer skills of a
fearless child, we would each set up a website to sell with minimal overhead,
maybe just some 2% fee to collect funds by credit card, and a $40 per month web
site fee.

Okay, step down quietly off the soap box, and slip into the crowd...........
Alan

Currently have in stock both NEW Leaf and VOLT modules as well as BMS wire
harness for the Volt, and Mini BMS for both Leaf and Volt modules. Volt modules
available in 24vdc, 48vdc and 96vdc. Out of stock on Ford Focus modules until
10/29/14. Not selling wrecks like others. Scammers don't need to ask me where I
get them as they are wasting their time.
