It's not just a wish or a choice not to go to home,
building, factory made clean power, energy, but will happen. The only question
is when. The future is microgrids where EV's with V2G
shine along with a broad energy mix to supply the microgrid with low cost clean
power, transport, fuels, heat, internet, ph without paying all the corporate
parasites jacking their costs up. For instance Lakeland
Electric City run, other Fla co-ops electric costs 35% less than Duke/FPL in
lower corporate costs. Next with them closely connected
both distribution and eff are maximized of power, heat, storage running 80%
range. Another important part is synfuels from waste
plastics, fats, biomass producing clean gasoline, diesel for the few times EV's
can't. Getting tighter the group could share EV's,
ICE's, trucks, MC's, boats, tools, etc lowering costs again.
Since life now without increasingly expensive FF's price spikes,
recessions, wars with that money, stability staying at home in savings, jobs
making life better for them instead of corporations wasting it or financing
terrorists, wars, etc . Why this will happen in degrees
is FF's are going up in price and the simple clean power equipment, like solar
already is, will keep dropping as well, so simple. Take
a solar, biomass, waste heat engine of 3-5hp with low cost heat storage can
supply heat, power 24-7 for 20-30 yrs. It is just a simple engine like an A/C
compressor/pump run in reverse as an engine, a 2-4kw alt, low cost heat storage
and a 200sq' trough collector gives whatever one needs at a fraction of present
FF, utility costs. A home, business wind is a 2kw/5kw
peak alt, 3 6'5'' blades, some bearings, casing, etc, just not much puts out
10-70kwhrs/day for 50 yrs. I can and soon will build these for $3k retail.
Plastics to gasoline, diesel along with fats to biodiesel are
viable now from the members wastes or as a small ,local business.
We can triple our hydro with river, tidal power with like wind
turbines underwater without dams. As soon likely no more
snowpack high mountain dams to store and slowly release water stopping
flooding and not letting the rivers run dry. Not to mention a 1-2 mile water
drop makes a heck of a lot of green power. I can go on
with present tech but you get the drift, lots of choices. And only more, lower
cost in the future. Next why is FF's really are running
out. Oil has less than 25 yrs before too expensive to burn, maybe just 20.
Coal and NG about 25-35 depending on how things go. And
the 5Billion new coming into the first world will suck it up so fast driving
the price up, everything else is lower cost at about $7/gal, much under $5/gal.
Since clean power will be less it will limit the price FF's can get, making the
rest left in the ground as too expensive compared to clean power, fuels.
And without EV's and their eff would be far harder to do.
So the future looks very bright once we get rid of costly
polluting fuel and just make our own for less at home, locally.
Similar but larger scale tech for powering factories, etc.
