Another soft pedal I make is when there are concerns about putting up
charging station signs (reserving a space for EV's) .
(not my OUTLET signs) I suggest they add a note "until 9 AM" or something
like that. The last thing that EV owners AT WORK want when EV's are new at
a work site, is to have a vacant EV charging spot that is not in use when
all the ICE's are looking for a spot.

By noticing when the last ICE spot usually fills up, then that is the time
to end the reserved spot for the EV. If a commuter with an EV does not get
there before the 9 AM, then too bad. He had the choice.

The worst thing early on was a garage that reserve 8 spaces for EV charging
and there were no EV's. It took one month before they took down all the
signs due to ICE push back. If they had asked ME, I would have said, YES,
wire up 8 spots but only put up ONE sign. Then add signs as use
increased. NOT BEFORE. The worst thing early on was creating EV
animosity, when what we wanted was EV friendly.

Though now, there are enough EV's that all EV spaces are always filled so
not much a problem anymore. But in some of the red states where EV's are
still new, it might be worth considering the BY 9 AM or whatever to slow
the roll out.
