I said "designed by someone who knows his or her stuff, and made by a qualified manufacturer that isn't some here-today-gone-tomorrow Chinese sweatshop." I wasn't talking about some slave labor Chinese prison inmate who was told to design a BMS because he happens to have a mail order diploma from an online electronics institute, or some contract worker who may have misrepresented his qualifications. You want cheap? You can buy a 24 volt 60 amp BMS on Alibaba for $9. Would you rely on it? Expensive is no guarantee of reliability, but cheap is often the opposite.
