It might work. Maybe there's a market for EVs with nostalgia.

But didn't they already try mining the nostalgia vein with the HHR? It
reminded me of an updated Sedan Delivery.

It seemed as if GM wanted a share of the diminishing Bonnie and Clyde market
siezed by the Chrysler PT Cruiser, but I think they missed the train. They
kept it around for 7 years, and it apparently sold fewer than half as many
units as the PT did in 10. I can't imagine it being any worse a vehicle
than that execrable PT.

As an aside, it'll be interesting to see how the Honda E fares. To me at
least, it manages to simultaneously project both futuristic and nostalgic
vibes. I suspect that totally apart from its looks, it won't get much love
unless Honda manages to bump up the range by about 1/2 and cut the price by
about 1/3.

My dad owned a '56 Chevrolet Bel Air*, or maybe it was a Biscayne. At any
rate, I don't have particularly fond memories of it. His next car, a '61 VW
Beetle, was much more interesting. But as they say, your memories may vary.
:-)

*Bel Air = "nice air." Not really, considering the exhaust emissions of
those cars.
