When I joined this list 27 years ago, I was brand new to the EV industry and treated the EVDL like an unorganized encyclopedia of EV knowledge. It was the only place the info was available.
It's nice to see that many of the same folks are still here and still sharing knowledge with others. There were no regular production EVs, if you wanted one you had to make it using lead acid batteries and DC drives. I would like to see this list continue though I suspect there may soon not be enough regular participants to keep it viable. Unfortunately, myself and many others lost enthusiasm for the EVDL when discussion of drag racing was banned and many NEDRA folks nicknamed the EVDL "the 96 volt list" (has it been 20 years?). Now I only check this list like a couple of times a month. Now, it appears that EVs are on their way to taking over the world and 1000 horsepower EVs are commonplace. Entire nations are on their way to banning future sales of new ICE vehicles for personal transportation. When the day comes that the EVDL is just a memory will be a sad day. Hopefully the content can be permanently archived somewhere that is available to all.
