Kewl Mike.
Writer of fantasy and scfi, Lin Carter. many years ago, toyed with words and
came up with the phrase "plenum mechanics," as a cover for quantum mechanics.
You phrase Plenitude, sort of reminded me of this. Whether there is an Everett
MWI of an Infinite Universe, it almost doesn't matter because whether zillions
of Hubble Volumes, or one big place, it ends up all the same, sort of. You can
buy a six pack or a pony keg, but its all beer/ale inside, is my reasoning.

There was a paper published at ARXIV back in December or January, by a
physicist named Paul Wesson, who specializes in general relativity and extra
physical dimensions. Wesson postulated that like Kaluza and Klein, before him,
there's a working 5th dimension. Wesson suggests that the GreatSilence of
Fermi, is because people discover this dimension and use it to post IM's faster
than light. This is akin to Verner Vinge's 'A Fire Upon the Deep,' novel. The
'people' are other civilizations, in case I didn't make this clear? I think
Vinge, minus the interaction of his characters, could have gotten away with
dealing with spammers, trolling, and gossip, on a cosmic scale. I'd like to see
someone tackle this, as a good read. Interested ;-) Good luck with your
writing Liz and Mike.

Spudboy - and Liz:
thanks for the approval - I wouldn't have resorted to Everett's MWI even in
1990 (found it restrictive to our lately human conclusions) nor to an
'infinite' universe (finiteless world is better in which we have unrestricted
(number and qualia) universes, So I proposed (my version): a "Plenitude" of
everything of which the groundrule-total symmetry (more than we can imagine)
HAS TO BE violated by closing together of "SIMILAR" items (I would have
written: components) from movement to movement changes (time is not part of the
Plenitude). These 'complexities' of the violations ARE the universes in no
restriction of topical compositions. They arise and dissipate - not as looked
from the inside: ours e.g. passes long-long eras of TIME in far-far areas of
SPACE - as we think of it and look at from the INSIDE. .
Such cosmologic agnosticism arose after the manuscript was already out.
I do not intend to download something I wrote before developing ideas I hold
now. I looked into 'modernizing' it to my developing agnosticism, but did not
find the energy - too much effort needed. And: my present views are only that:
PRESENT views, not holding till tomorrow.
Thanks
John M

Let me know when its ready to download?

Oh yes indeed. That is the subject of my first novel, currently in the process
of editing, good post apocalyptic fun set after those people have more or less
achieved their aim.
