Hear! Hear! It is best to refrain from asserting what is at best speculation
and at worst vituperation.
Which is not to say that I feel that John is above criticism :) quite clearly,
a fair number of people feel quite strongly that he richly deserves it --
including me. It is the manner in which it was delivered I took issue with.Now,
I am no saint -- far from it, and I don't pretend to be one either... so I hope
nobody takes this the wrong way. I am not putting myself on any pedestal, or
pretending some kind of unstated assumed moral superiority; I have my flaws and
I have gotten drawn into some pretty vicious exchanges with Mr Clark, in which
he has gotten as nasty as I have gotten back with him. So not pretending I am
an angel; not even close; I am more of a street brawler than a saint.-Chris
