If you open a program on your computer but you don't get any output except
for a hourglass symbol telling you to wait that never goes away then the
Operating System has crashed your computer and you have to  reboot your
computer and try again. To make matters worse you can't be certain that
hourglass wait symbol will never go away so you have to use judgement to
determine when waited for it to load long enough and something is wrong.
