Spud, I'm not a bit interested in Trump having stopped flights from China nor am I interested in the Democratic opposition to it because neither action had any significant impact on the development of the epidemic in the USA. Looking back on it now it's clear that by the time Trump stopped praising China for the way they handled the virus and got around to cutting flights from China it was already far too late, tens of thousands of Americans must have been getting infected every day, not by contact with the Chinese but with other Americans. I will admit that a few months after that it would have been wise to stop all flights between China and the USA, not to protect Americans from the Chinese but to protect the Chinese from being reinfected by the Americans because by then, due to Trump's jaw-droppingly inapt handling of the epidemic, the USA had become the largest virus hotspot in the world and the density of COVID-19 in the USA was far greater than it had ever been in China. Even though Trump is now out of office he's still doing his best to sabotage the American response to the virus, as recently as yesterday when asked if he would take the virus booster shot if the CDC recommended it he told his flock of Trump worshipers “I feel like I’m in good shape from that standpoint I probably won’t - it's probably not for me." If you want to know why I hate Trump so much, that's why, never mind what the scientific method shows, it doesn't matter if what the country is doing is the right thing to do or not , the only important thing is that it "feels" like it's the right thing to do. And because of ignoring the scientific method and using that sort of "reasoning" 664,935 Americans are dead.
