That really depends on what functionality you are trying to get out of Exchange2k3 Enterprise.

Can you have 2003 AD child domain in a 2K Domain. So he can then use 2003 Exchange as the front end server and pick up the spam filters and the better OWA? And still have the email boxes on the 2000 servers.
