You might have to wait for the replication between servers then or use exmerge to strip the mailbox from the old server, delete the users mailbox (then cleanup/purge) from the original server then recreate the mailbox on the new server and import the data from the PST file that exmerge will create.

It should have a red X indicating that it is ready to be purged, if so right click it and select purge to blow it away. If you see the box, but there is no Red X check to make sure that you don't have a check in the "Do not permanently delete mailboxes..." on the Limits tab of your mailbox store.
