-----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Michele Cooper Sent: 09/14/2004 9:33 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: Exchange Server Response to Telnet We have our Exchange 2003 Server up and running. It sends and receives email both internally and externally just fine. However, during testing the SMTP server via telnet, while I am able to send a message, the initial response to the telnet request is garbled. The telnet request is: telnet ourserver 25 The response is 220*********************************************0****0*0 **********************200***0*2**0*00 After that everything works fine. Does anyone have any idea why it does this or if it will cause a problem in the future? Thanks, Michele Cooper _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=exchange&text_mode=&lang =english To unsubscribe send a blank email to %%email.unsub%% Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
