It certainly reduces the chances of being hit - obviously many things need admin privs 
or some other kind of advanced rights to install.
 
I don't think its a worthwhile spyware prevention tool in and of itself because those 
who know better are already running w/o admin rights for day to day crud, and those 
who don't know better will continue to use whatever rationalisation they have to 
continue doing what they do.

I've noticed that computers that users don't have administrator privileges
on don't seem to get infected with spyware.  It seems that this stuff can't
install itself if you don't have admin privs.  Is that not true?  I never
see "don't browse the web with admin privs" as a recommendation for spyware
prevention.
