THANK YOU ALL!!!!! Doing the nslookup showed me that I had not updated dns on the right dns server. Once I did and cleared the cache, my user now has email.

You should be able to go into nslookup and find out what your DNS server is telling the clients. If the DNS server needs a reload and is still giving out the old, incorrect IP address that could cause it. If the DNS server is giving out the correct address then there is still something wrong at the client level.
