That's a good point. I suspect that not everybody would need their mailbox backing up. I'm not sure I'd want to make it as arbitrary as "you're a director so it's important" but it's nice to have that level of flexibility.
I wouldn't expect us to have a huge issue with backup windows, gig ethernet and LTO libraries etc. but if you're pulling 140gb a night every night (70gb or so store plus same again bricks) it adds up (by our small standards).
