There are a few options when it comes to migrating from 5.5 to 2003. The
least expensive (if you know what you're doing) is to implement the ADC,
add some exchange 2003 servers to your existing org, and just do a move
mailbox operation. The ADC is pretty straightforward once you've
mastered it, but most of the world hasn't mastered it, so you have to
take that into account.

The other option is to use some third party tools like Quest's Migration
Manager, which works extremely well (again, if you implement it right)
and doesn't necessarily have to use the ADC.

The third option is a low-tech, low functionality option. Do a directory
export of your 5.5 dir, do an exmerge of all the mailboxes. Then import
the directory into your new AD implementation (is it new or do you
already have one? I'm betting you've had AD in your environment for
awhile). Create mailboxes for all your accounts, and then exmerge the
mail in.

These are the options off the top of my head, although there are more.
It really depends on the business needs surrounding the migration. How
many sites, what kind of bandwidth, how many users, how much data, on
and on.

Any info would be great :)

Have done migrations before but its always been to a new setup with a
new
domain so never been down the root of having to integrate the two,
something
I would prefer to steer clear of if I'm honest!
